The format for your paper should be typed using MS Word software with the following criteria:

  • paper size 8½” (width) x 11″ (height)
  • 1 inch margins (top, bottom, and sides)
  • left margin alignment (ragged right margins)
  • regular Arial font style size 12
  • single spacing for title with author information and double spacing throughout body of text

AND is to include the following as one entire document:

  1. The first page(s) of your document will be your final abstract.
  1. You can use the same abstract you originally submitted or an abstract revised as a result of the comment sheets.
  2. The title of the abstract should be in all capital letters. Immediately following the title include the Primary Author name, Command, City, State, Zip and Co-Author name(s), etc.
  3. The maximum length of the body of the text including the headings is 300 words (i.e., includes ObjectiveCaseDiscussion, etc.)

— Insert a page break after the abstract and continue with the remainder of your paper —

  1. The following pages of your document will be your written paper and should:
  1. repeat the title of the research project at the beginning of this written paper portion of the document.
  2. follow the standard IMRADS formats:
    Clinical Investigation: Introduction/Background, Methods/Intervention, Outcomes/Evaluation, Conclusion/Discussion
    Educational Research: Introduction/Background, Methods/Intervention, Outcomes/Evaluation, Conclusion/Discussion
    Case Report: Introduction, Case Presentation, Discussion, Scholarly Question (What future research question does your case report raise?), Conclusion
  3. be fifteen (15) pages or less. Your paper will be disqualified if this written portion exceeds the 15 page limit. This does not include tables, graphs, illustrations, or bibliography.
  4. include your bibliography
